Following five years as Executive Director, I have stepped back from on-site work to collaborate remotely with Re-Member's management. Continuing to build on the organization's strategic goals, I am: Leading the development of communications and donor stewardship strategy with staff and consultants.Project managing myriad print and digital projects in support of the organization's communications and marketing needs.Supporting the Executive Director and Board Chair with ongoing board recruitment and retention efforts.

Responsible for oversight of Re-Member operations at Pine Ridge to ensure the organizational and financial sustainability, well-being, and its standing in the community.In collaboration with the board of directors and financial manager, developed the annual budget and monitored actual performance to budget, managing operations with the intent of meeting or exceeding budget projections.Led the organization in fundraising activities, identifying potential donors from volunteers and other external sources and then develop and steward those relationships.Oversaw general program development and appropriate staff hiring.Responsible for expanding organizational contacts with governmental/tribal/faith/volunteer and other groups. Stewarding external relationships to maintain and grow access to funding, volunteers, and influence in the area and state of South Dakota.Served as the “face of Re-Member” to the community, representing Re-Member at community, regional, and statewide meetings as well as meetings out of state with existing and/or potential partners and funders.Regularly communicated with the board of directors and staff, including attendance of board and staff meetings.Developed Re-Member’s employees, both culturally and vocationally, assuring that employees learn and function in ways that are culturally competent with the Oglala Lakota.Influenced participating volunteers by advocating on behalf of Native Americans.

Supports the Office of College Communications and Marketing in building and maintaining the college managed web and social media presence with an emphasis on College community imaging and relations.Produces communications for the Office of the President, including maintaining a social media, web and campus/community relations presence, under the supervision of the Executive Director of College Communications and Marketing.Produces web content including various mediums to achieve the creative and editorial goals of college Web and interactive media communications.

Supports the Director of Digital Communications and Marketing in building and maintaining the college managed digital presence. Manages web publishing as lead Content Management System (CMS) work flow moderator while providing project management, project guidance, and execution to achieve the creative and editorial goals of college Web and interactive media communications.Produces content for the web; e.g., blogs, websites, email communication, audio/video for the web, etc.Manages and moderates digital media properties including: Facebook, Foursquare, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Vimeo and YouTube.Conduct written, audio, and video interviews with campus constituents. Edit for publishing on the Web, and college blogs.Assists in development, design and maintenance of managed Web sites to ensure fresh, high-quality content and proper functionality with emphasis on the creation of well-written, Web-optimized contentCollaborate and coordinate with college colleagues and external sources and vendors to secure content, images, and other materials for site enhancement and maintenance.Serves as lead CMS training and support resource to campus community. Manages day-to-day editorial oversight for the college’s Web publishing guidelines and style standards to ensure the Web site’s consistency with the college’s identity and brand.Proactively updates, archives, and removes site content on an ongoing basis.

Re-Member is a non-profit organization on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota, one of the poorest locations found in the United States. Re-Member is an organization that exists to recall our country's treatment of Indian people and to repair pieces of that broken relationship. Guided by the aspirations of the Oglala Lakota communities we serve, Re-Member seeks to improve the quality of life through interaction, shared resources and volunteer services. Through site visits and cultural immersion, we continue to develop a growing circle of friends throughout the United States and around the world.

The Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed is a dynamic, Augusta-based non-profit lakes environmental organization with a mission to “Protect and Improve the 28 Lakes & Streams of the Cobbossee Watershed”. Since being incorporated in 2001, the Friends have received local, state and national recognition for their innovative approaches to education, outreach, and constituency building. Membership has exploded from 71 members in 2003 to over 5,000 today.Assist Executive Director with marketing strategies to further engage existing membership and attract new members.Oversee the migration of the organization’s existing website to a new provider. Document procedures for providing timely updates and perform same.Maintain the organization’s membership database, including developing applicable target “lists” for special events, programs and development efforts.Oversee the compilation, production and distribution of the organization’s newsletter (published 3 times annually).Process membership inquiries, gifts and acknowledgments.Become thoroughly familiar with the organization’s offerings by spending time in the field with staff on programs including School Education, Tadpole Patrol, Youth Conservation Corps, MilFoiler, etc.Assist with special event planning including the “Friends on the 4th” 5K and Annual Cocktail Fundraiser. Coordinate all publicity for same. Assist with presentations to a variety of constituents including students, residents, seasonal visitors, landowners, sportsmen, businesses, etc. Additional public appearances may be required including parades, fairs, trade shows and other events.Maintain a professional relationship with local towns, schools, state agencies and other “partners.”
