I spent my first 7 years out of college in the field of social work. I first worked with teenagers transitioning out of the state's custody and then in a juvenile detention center working with the kids in detention, as well as going out into the community and monitoring offenders on house arrest. I switched careers in 2016 after my first child was born to have a more consistent work schedule. I currently work in the Fire, Theft, and Vandalism department at Farmers Insurance investigating claims. My previous experience has allowed me to gain leadership skills and the ability to switch gears when needed. I take great pride in my work history thus far. It has forced me to develop gumption. I have the ability to utilize what I have in front of me and make the best of it. I can always put a positive spin on any circumstance and eventually get those around me feeling that same optimism.
