Managed over 200 personnel in the execution of a 1.5-year maintenance overhaul of aircraft carrier's 3.3 million gallon fuel system, to include 12 major ship alterations and over 1100 scheduled maintenance actions, resulting in an on-time recertification of 125 fuel tanks.As Instructor Catapult and Arresting Gear Officer and Helicopter Control Officer, instrumental in the incident-free, safe launch and recovery of over 5700 aircraft including 1900 combat missions in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.Led 60 personnel on a training detachment, achieving an unprecedented 87 flight deck qualifications in a nine-day at-sea period. Qualified eight new Catapult and Arresting Gear Officers in two at-sea periods.As the command fitness leader for 3000 personnel, guided 70 assistant fitness leaders to reduce semi-annual physical fitness test failures from 11% to under 5% in two years, a full 30% under the Navy average.Managed 30 sailors in processing more than 1750 pieces of correspondence, coordinated 230 training courses, and executed a $1.5M budget for a department of 550+ personnel.

My naval career commenced with flight training, and was followed by various jobs as a junior officer while advancing my flight qualifications as a Naval Flight Officer (NFO) in the Navy's P-3C Patrol and Reconnaissance aircraft. I held every qualification possible for an NFO: Mission Commander, Instructor Tactical Coordinator, Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) Evaluator. Likewise, the aircrews under my leadership held every possible qualification to include advanced AntiSubmarine Warfare (ASW) designations. I also led single- and multi-plane detachments to multiple countries in support of real world operations; including the Indo-Pacific, Central America, Europe and the Mediterranean, and the Arctic.
