Director - Enterprise Data
Current• As Director of Enterprise Data, led the creation of a new Enterprise Data team, spearheading key initiatives to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.• As part of the leadership team, collaborate with Executive and senior leadership to determine and deliver enterprise-grade data and analytics architecture and platform implementation.• Represent BBQGuys as a member of the Microsoft Enterprise Voice program for Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Synapse, collaborating directly with members of the product team and providing input and feedback regarding current and upcoming releases and enhancements.• Administer and manage all facets of the Azure and Power BI environments, including Entra ID management, network and access security, Azure Data Factory data pipelines, and data storage via Azure SQL DB and Storage Accounts.• Centralize analysis and reporting under a unified team, increasing efficiency in data storage, modeling, and analysis processes.• Migrate Azure and Power BI resources from an Azure pay-as-you-go tenant to a new production Azure tenant, consolidating Enterprise Data and Power BI workloads to improve modeling, security, and performance.• Architect, plan, and develop Azure cloud analytics and reporting resources while maintaining consistency with operational legacy/private cloud database in MySQL.• Expand Enterprise Data capabilities by introducing Microsoft Fabric workloads such as Dataflow Gen2, Pipelines, Notebooks, Lakehouse, and Warehouse to enhance enterprise-level data management and reporting.• Implement workload best practices in both Azure and Microsoft Fabric by enforcing standardized naming conventions, workload sizing guidelines, centralized data source connections, and business group-based Workspace organization.• Onboard Power BI Pro-licensed users to the new Power BI environment, enabling self-service analytics and fostering enhanced collaboration.
