ENFP. I am a plant ecologist with a passion for environmental education and public engagement in conservation. As a systems thinker, I am really interested in integrated landscapes of human and natural communities. My systems mindset was absolutely born from my time at the Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia. Although an ecologist at heart, my approach to problem solving has made me an asset for teams focused on strategic planning, research & development, and community outreach. While Directing UC Forward at the University of Cincinnati, I was fortunate enough to teach a design & innovation course with faculty from the School of Design, Architecture, Art, & Planning. As an amateur nature artist, this experience helped me develop a more integrative approach to problem solving; specifically, using systems thinking, design thinking, and critical analysis skills to create, evaluate, and teach innovative problem solving. In my current position, I often use these skills to help my colleagues push through mental blocks and thinking more broadly about the work in front of them.
Listed skills include Research, Data Analysis, Strategic Planning, Curriculum Development, and 27 others.
