My work history varies with roles from business owner to senior operations manager. I adapt to do what needs to be done. I can communicate with anyone and make complex information easier to understand.Other than my work history, three main things you should know about me.1. I encourage and appreciate collaboration.2. I take ownership of anything I do.3. I get things done.CollaborationI encourage collaboration by rarely talking first in meetings unless I scheduled it. Even then, after sharing the purpose and goal of the meeting, I’ll sit back to listen, observe, and encourage others to speak before I share my thoughts. I’ve noticed that too often being the first to talk, especially if you’re in a position of authority or expertise, can stifle ideas and conversations. I want to hear all the ideas. The evolution of ideas usually results in the best outcomes. Even better if those ideas come from a cross-functional team ensuring all stakeholder views are considered.OwnershipI take full responsibility and accountability for my work including leading people and teams, problem resolution, and project management. I identify challenges and opportunities, ensure the correct people are consulted or on the team, and that everyone understands the expectations and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and, usually, better than promised. If something does go wrong, I own that too. I see every failure as an opportunity to learn and do better next time.Get it doneI truly believe there is an answer to every question and a solution to every problem. It may take asking more questions, searching for alternatives, and learning new skills. It isn’t always simple, and sometimes we may not even like it, but it is there. If it isn’t my solution to provide, I help and guide as much as I can to get the best outcome that benefits as many people as possible.I hope this provides some insight into who I am. Feel free to contact me with potential job opportunities, collaborations, or even to exchange ideas.
