Cory led Awarepoint's efforts to develop the European market for the company's products by educating facilities on RTLS-enabled automatic tracking and workflow-orchestration in healthcare. He also supported Awarepoint's European partners by assisting them with sales presentations, product demonstrations, proposal preparation, product training, and configuration recommendations. Cory assumed this role in 2011, when Awarepoint acquired PCTS and its UK subsidiary.

Cory led the Charlotte, NC-based analysis and design team for Patient Care Technology Systems. His primary responsibilities included * helping define the company's strategic product direction; * identifying, defining, and analyzing business processes, workflow, and business requirements throughout the healthcare enterprise; * designing new software solutions to meet the tracking, communication, and workflow needs of users in multiple hospital departments; and * establishing PCTS as a thought leader in the area of RTLS-enabled automatic tracking.Cory and his team defined the requirements, designed the user experience (including UI and functionality), and prepared specifications for new PCTS products and major upgrades.Cory also worked with other PCTS organizations such as sales, marketing, and client services to evangelize the product line and gather feedback to inform ongoing efforts to enhance existing products and identify new products and features.

Cory was the visionary and chief solutions designer behind Healthcare IT's logging, reporting, and web-based automatic tracking solutions for emergency and perioperative departments. These products strategically gathered, interpreted, analyzed, and disseminated patient, staff, and resource information to improve communication, enhance coordination, and streamline the overall workflow of hospitals nationwide.To implement this solution's information-gathering component, Cory designed and oversaw development of the HIT passive tracking rules engine, a powerful tool for gathering patient, staff, and equipment location data from diverse indoor positioning technologies and applying complex logic to that data in realtime. This engine went beyond simple locating, actually making and recording decisions about bed occupancy, staff assignments, care progression, and patient/staff/equipment interactions based on location data received from third-party technologies.

Cory began work at The Oxford Associates (TOA) as a technical writer developing computer user and systems manuals. Over the course of two years, he documented and developed classroom training for a half dozen different accounting and cost-estimating systems for major clients like Cincinnati-based consumer products giant Procter and Gamble.Cory then transitioned in to a role of developing computer-based training for NCR Corporation of Dayton, OH. That eventually morphed into development of full-blown web-based electronic performance support systems (something unheard of in 1996). NCR recognized Cory's efforts with two consecutive innovation awards in 1996 and 1997.During his time at TOA, Cory also developed and published the FACTIRS model of performance support system design. The model describes and explains how to address core user needs in both computerized and print-based performance support systems.
