Strategically implementing IT solutions with a limited amount of resources was critical in establishing a foundation for a new business. Delivering solutions that were centrally managed to a geographically diverse set of clients, employees, and independent contractors involved creating new cloud solutions and embracing many third party cloud based technologies. Today, Valuation Technology maintains a large database of residential properties utilizing proprietary data unavailable from any other source integrated with internal and external web sites, valuation engines, field data collection applications, and an order management system. Clients are able order an automated appraisal from our web site utilizing appraiser verified data and have the appraisal delivered to them in seconds. Clients are also able to order hybrid or traditional appraisal engaging a workflow that manages all communication and information in federally compliant manner.Re-engineering the appraisal process was an enormous task involving many people, process and technical hurdles. Finding creative solutions that were acceptable to clients in a highly regulated industry was a challenge. Finding creative solutions that were able to be implemented by clients, appraisers, administrative staff, and executives was an even greater task. By focusing on people and ensuring the processes not only worked for everyone involved but was more beneficial for them than not following the process ensured successful adoption by everyone. The result is the ability to deliver higher quality automated, hybrid, and traditional real estate valuations more efficiently.
