It's cliché to say I think outside the box, but I think outside the larger box that others may have a hard time seeing.For my entire life what has excited me the most is solving a problem that others have deemed unsolvable and always finding new ways to challenge myself. Through my pursuit of new challenges, I have run across and solved practically every problem imaginable that could break with computers. Any problem I haven’t come across or skill I have yet to acquire, I learn quickly so that I could accomplish any goals. I pride myself on the use of those skills and knowledge to make everyone's life around me easier and have always been the go-to expert when it comes to handling any tech problems at any company I've ever worked for.Shortly after college, I decided I wanted to open my own business and after extensive market research, I identified a niche market in my area with almost no competition and a booming customer base waiting to be tapped. It didn't take long for me and a partner to get an anime/gaming shop up and running, and with a grand opening day of over $8,000 and a line out the door for 12 hours straight, it seemed certain that I had made the right decision.However, it is said that we learn more from our mistakes than our successes and I have made my fair share of both. After over 2 years of groundbreaking ideas and phenomenal sales, the market had become oversaturated with online markets, and even though I had grown a massive beloved customer base, it had become necessary to close the doors.Luckily at that time a struggling CBD retail store across the street recognized my potential and hired me to revamp the feel of their entire company during the initial CBD boom in 2018. When I got there, they were literally using a calculator to ring people up. So, after setting them up with a modern POS system on a tight budget and creating and maintaining a more marketable online and in-store persona, I was able to help them skyrocket from 1 to 7 locations, making them a $2 million company in less than 2 years.Unfortunately, the global pandemic brought all of that progress to a screeching halt, and I was forced to seek out a new career path.I was able to land a new career as the marketing campaign director at a small local marketing firm. Here I spent my time managing marketing campaigns for various clients, but often those campaigns needed a landing page or website of some sort, and it came to light that was another one of my specialties. With that, I was promoted to lead website developer while also maintaining my marketing duties.
