I am an accomplished results-driven designer and project manager with 15+ years of experience and a proven track record in providing coordination and support to multiple parties to achieve project objectives. In October 2021, I was voted by the Board of Directors for DC Murals to serve as the Executive Director for the organization, to continue the work of the Founding Director Perry Frank, PhD..My duties include being head researcher responsible for the acquisition and conservation of archive assets, including over 7,000 photographs, oral histories, and documents relating to mural artists from Washington, DC. Planning events and experiences, including a series of mural tours, and presenting material from the archive collection in a series of multimedia exhibitions. Additionally design and produce marketing collateral, manage cross-platform media content, and serve as a senior representative for civic engagement and community partnerships.Since 2014 I have served as Art Director for Art Bloc DC a freelance art consultancy and provided creative direction for all projects, as well as talent acquisition, project management, and primary design duties.Between 2016 and 2019 I served as the Lead Instructor of Digital Journalism for Somerset Prep Public Charter School where I worked in a classroom setting to educate students on publication layout and attain certifications in Adobe Creative Suite.From 2010-2016 I served as Operations Manager for Art Under Pressure, a brick-and-mortar retail art space. At AUP I was responsible for the day-to-day operations of two locations, as well as management of the custom art services studio which included graphic design, marketing, screen printing, and soft goods manufacturing.From 2005-2011, I served as Art Director for Words Beats & Life a 501c3 nonprofit organization. At WBL I wore many hats and my duties included graphic design, event production, workshop facilitation, and talent acquisition for the signature mural painting program, for which I project managed the installation of more than 35 public art projects between 2008-2011.
