I have over 30 years' experience in the information technology field with over 20 years in a leadership role. In my 20+ years at Celina Insurance, I helped build a fantastic team of professionals that deliver IT services to our organization. The team of 9+ that I lead is responsible for our company’s infrastructure, security, data center operations, technical support, disaster recovery and business continuity, web services development, database administration, server administration, imaging, and telecommunications.My current responsibilities also include managing the department’s budget, policies, external audits along with the development of my staff’s objectives and conducting their performance evaluations. In addition to my management responsibilities, I also develop applications using .NET and administer SQL Server databases.I enjoy my roles as both a decision maker and as a hands-on contributor. I can fully utilize my experience, varied skill set, and ability to see the big picture to resolve issues and implement opportunities. My position also allows me to communicate effectively with a vast audience whether they are a technical or a non-technical individual as well as C-level executives. I continually look to learn new and enhance my skills to be innovative and improve processes.

Manage projects from planning through implementation. Work with customers in developing functional specifications. Applications developed primarily using VB6, VB.Net and SQL Server. ASP.Net and MS-Office applications were also developed. Solutions included those for Windows and Pocket PC using the .Net Compact Framework.

Responsible for the Programmer / Analyst functions (see previous job at Corning) in addition to the handling of the department budget, performing and responding to audits, adhering to best practices, renewing maintenance contracts, setting of objectives, prioritizing projects and performing employee performance reviews.

Technical design, development, testing, implementation, documentation and training of custom plant solutions. Perform Oracle v8 DBA and Windows server administration functions.Projects* Converted an inflexible legacy Plant Floor System to an enhanced Manufacturing Execution System. The new system was designed from the ground up utilizing Visual Basic 6 and Oracle 8. The project included the installation of Oracle, the creation of an Oracle database, the creation of all interfaces, reports and SPC charts with alarms. * Developed a web-based PlantView System which displays near-real-time information of data collected from many data sources including RMS tables, an Oracle Database, a PI Database, an Access database and an Allen Bradley SLC. * Developed systems that communicate to external devices using communication ports. External devices included bar code readers, gauges and other measuring equipment.
