I was originally tasked to work on this system, but after performing behavioral and user interface improvements to an existing Windows client application, it was decided my user experience and UI knowledge would be best suited to lead new development of various Windows client applications, both stand alone and plug-in/add-in, used to allow customers to better work with the files stored in the ECM. ⋅ Architected, designed, and developed a set Microsoft Office Word and Excel (2003 and 2007) add-ins. Allows user to interact with Word and Excel documents stored within the ECM without leaving Word/Excel. Precisely host-matched UI’s and nomenclatures provide a seamless and consistent user experience. Allows files controlled by the ECM to be browsed/searched and opened within Word/Excel. Displays the documents metadata (name, description, revision, latest revision, checked out status, index data, etc). Allows users to check out and in the document. Allows editing of some metadata (name, description, index data) without creating a new revision within the ECM. The check-in process can generate a PDF of the document as an additional revision.

An additional set of web-base interfaces, intended for standard Windows XP clients, allows managers and administrators to manage users, add/modify product lines and work flows, view a wide variety of reports, and print bar codes on network attached label printers. ⋅ Developed Windows application (WinForms.NET) to securely store, manage, and backup sensitive data such as user names and passwords. User defined categories provide users almost unlimited control over the structure and alphanumeric fields they want to protect. Rijndael encryption keeps the data secure. Currently in user beta testing. Plan to release it as a consumer product after beta testing is completed.⋅ Developed a web-enables inventory management system. The system allows for a shopping-cart system to directly use and change its contents. Features include kit management, cost analysis, pricing schedules based on customer, invoicing, and inventory query via web-services for distributors/retailers.
