I purchased the area development rights to the Little Rock, AR market in 2004. As the Area Developer for Little Rock, I have been able to engineer consistent growth through the effective recruitment, training and coaching of area franchisees. During my ownership the number of offices has increased from 3 to 25, customers have grown from 1,800 to over 15,000 and revenue has increased from $250,000 to over 3 million. In October of 2011, I expanded my area development area to include the Kansas City market which added 21 franchisees, 50 offices, 21,000 customers and 4.1 million in revenue to my area development portfolio. Since becoming an area developer in 2004, I have been consistently recognized as a top ranking area developer by the franchisor.I started with Liberty Tax Service as one of the first unit franchisees in Kansas City, MO in 2003. In my first year in business I was recognized as the #1 new franchisee in the Liberty system and set a record for the most customers and revenue generated by a first year franchisee. My first year office was ranked in the Top 10 out of over 1,400 Liberty Tax offices. I became a multi-unit franchisee owner in 2004. During my time as a Liberty Tax unit franchisee I was consistently recognized as a top ranking unit franchisee by the franchisor.

From May 2006 to April 2012, I worked at the Liberty Tax Service corporate office serving as the Asst. VP of Franchise Operations for the U.S. and Canada. In this role, I directed the Franchise Operations, Training, Company Store, Site Selection and Franchise Systems business units. I was responsible for leading a quarter of the franchisor’s 300 employees, 130 area developers and 2000+ franchisees to achieve industry leading franchise growth. During my time in this leadership role the franchise system flourished growing from 1,950 offices, 1,300 franchisees and $110 million in system wide revenue to 4,100 offices, 2,000+ franchisees and over $330 million in system wide revenue. The Company’s success has been recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine and other publications which have annually ranked Liberty Tax Service as one of the top franchises in the United States. From 2012 to 2014, I continued to serve as a consultant with Liberty Tax Service assisting the franchisors senior leadership team in executing the company’s business objectives and delivering specialized training to the company’s area developers and franchisees.From December 2003 to April 2006 I served as a Field Representative for the franchisor in the Midwest.
