At BRES, LLC, my leadership has been pivotal in steering diverse commercial and vacation rental real estate ventures, as well as driving various portfolio-owned small businesses towards success. Previously, as the Executive Director at the Blind Center of Nevada, I was able to convert one of Las Vegas' oldest charities into a modern, successful organization. My team and I saved this wonderful, but bankrupt organization by using sound business principles. We revamped both community and member relations. Transformed in-house businesses into profitable entities--doing so while employing members of the blind community. We reinvented member programs including creating a blind Rock Band--Broken Spectacles--creating a culinary school for people who are blind and an associated event and catering business. Our team's work transformed the charity into a self-sufficient entity and significantly advanced the center's visibility and mission. Both Blind Center membership and "donorship" grew exponentially. Prior to the Blind Center of Nevada, I was part of an executive team at Axius--a consumer product company which we had grown and sold. This small group of company leaders left Axius to found a real estate development company--Blue Marble Development. I served as the Sr. Vice President of Blue Marble Development with a focus on marketing, product design, financing, construction and so forth. Our main project was a $350M mixed-use community in Las Vegas we called Paxton Walk. This amazingly designed 38-acre community consisted of condos, townhomes, office and retail. When the real estate market crashed we were forced to moth-ball Paxton Walk and turned our efforts to buying and completing half-built multi-family housing projects.At Axius Consumer Products, I played a lead role in turning a small $12M company into a $186M industry leader. In the position of VP, Marketing & Product Development we grew the company with a disruptive, new, break-through strategy and drove the company to amazing heights by working fast, creating excellent, fashion-forward new products, and fighting off foreign competitors.Starting on the Sales Team at Axius, I helped build relationships with Wal*Mart, Target, Kmart, and others. When I was tasked with creating and running a Marketing Department I continued in my role with the Sales Team and together we drove amazing growth through creative strategies, innovative new products, analytics, target marketing and strong retailer relationships. We delivered!
