Represent the great school counseling graduate students in the State of New York

•Manage a caseload of over 200 students monitoring their academic progress, attendance, and academic records.•Conduct college planning meeting with 11th grade students•Conduct scheduling meetings for 9th-11th grade students•Assist seniors with their college applications•Meet with students and their parents concerning their academic progress•Remain ready and available to assist students in crisis situations •Collaborate with campus stakeholders to provide appropriate services and support to all students•Use Aspen and Naviance to keep track of students’ academic records and college and career goals•Collaborate with stakeholders for students with IEP and 504 plans to ensure the appropriate services and accommodations are being offered and provided to students•Fulfilled all the duties of the school counselor during their absence

Manage a caseload of over 200 students monitoring their academic progress, attendance, and academic records.Review transcripts to ensure students are on target or exceeding requirements for graduation.One of two counselors responsible for all English Language Learners.Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.Conduct scheduling meetings for 9th-11th grade students.Conduct college planning sessions with 11th grade students.Consult seniors and their parents with post-secondary planning including college admissions applications, scholarships, and employment.Collaborate with stakeholders for students with IEP and 504 plans to ensure the appropriate services and accommodations are being offered and provided to students.Plan, prepare, and present classroom lessons. Remain ready and available to assist students in crisis situations. Collaborate with campus stakeholders to provide appropriate services and support to all students.Use Infinite Campus and Naviance to keep track of students’ academic records and college and career goals.

Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions. Assist seniors with their college applications. Review and edit college essays and personal statements. Assist 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students with their course schedules, career planning, and college preparations. Assist Dreamers with their college applications and applying for scholarships. Utilize Naviance and Infinite Campus to monitor student progress, schedule changes, and college preparation. Research current trends in school counseling to ensure that the guidance department is meeting or exceeding ASCA and/or NYSSCA standards and practices. Prepare and review reports to ensure all approved test accommodations were accurate and followed. Plan, prepare, and present classroom lessons. Proctor for standardized tests.
