Geologist/Natural Resource Specialist
- Perform seismic risk assessments necessary for salt water disposal wells permitted in the state of New Mexico. I use fault slip potential modeling software to determine the probability of fault slip on nearby faults as a result of increased pressures due to deep water injection and storage.- Prepare, organize, and submit applications for permits to drill (APDs) oil & gas wells on federal, private, tribal, and New Mexico State Trust lands in the Permian and San Juan Basins.- Consult with clientele in the design and routing of midstream oil & gas pipelines to ensure the compliance of state, federal, and tribal regulations.- Provide technical support in the form of preparing ArcGIS maps for field use and as deliverable documents in applications for permits to drill (APDs), Right-of-Way applications, etc.
