Focusing on international arbitration, this internship has me working closely with the partners and associates of the Disputes Team, working on an array of matters which are currently on their docket. From drafting submissions to setting up for hearings, this experience has provided me with a wide diversity of learning opportunities.

This internship provided practical experience in international arbitration. My learning opportunities included drafting a dispute resolution clause to reflect commercial and strategic objectives, advising a party on dispute resolution options and assist with the selection of an arbitrator as well as preparing a list of procedural and substantive issues that arise during a dispute.

This Clinic selected eight students from the NUS law school to draft a Model Bilateral Investment Treaty for a developing country. The students were split into two equal teams. My team was responsible for not only researching and drafting provisions of definitions and dispute settlement but also providing commentary that would act as a guide and explanation for the beneficiary of the project.
