I am apart of a troubleshooting team. That means that when a (Siemens Gamesa) wind turbine goes down on a fault, my crew and I respond quickly to ensure the turbine goes back online while also executing all safety and company policies to ensure accuracy, cleanliness and efficiency. In addition, on any given day I will encounter issues associated with the pitch, yaw, and converter systems as well as maintaining various parts of the wind turbine. In my position I must demonstrate effective communication with my fellow crew members to ensure our safety, I must be detail oriented while providing maintenance and I must give accurate reporting of work orders to document work done for corporate records and to keep inventory up to date.

While I was working on the solar side of the company the majority of my time was spent working on ABB inverters. I was tasked on occasion to be apart of a full recommissioning back to commission of multi-million dollar items with the care and attention to detail that they require. I also would perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and programming to ensure the inverters were running at optimal performance.

In my role as Shipping Manager I conducted a large variety of tasks on a daily basis. I would conduct data entry for accuracy, freight unloading, stock consolidation, shipping and receiving and account management. I was responsible for making sure that all orders went out in a timely manner with all relevant items included in the order to maximize customer satisfaction and reordering. I also was forklift certified which assisted me in my role so that I could move large inventory safely and quickly. I did have some administrative responsibilities to order the packing supplies (packing tape, boxes, bubble wrap) needed in order to send out our inventory securely. I also was in constant communication with the local Post Office to follow up on the orders being sent out as well as any orders that needed to be picked up and processed for returns.

During my time at Hardway I accomplished a large variety of tasks as well as expanded my knowledge in the business. I worked as a CNC Milling Operator where I set tools and ran the programs in order to complete specific jobs. I processed the incoming material and cut it down to size in order to be milled. I also gained a lot of experience with reading blueprints, precision measuring tools and an automatic/manual lathe. I constantly monitored the parts being made to ensure that the correct tolerances were achieved.
