Dr. Edson Costa-Filho is an Assistant Professor of Water Resources Engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (Rapid City, SD). His research interests focus on cutting-edge modeling approaches in ecohydrology and remote sensing to support sustainable water resources management. His scientific and teaching interests encompass a broad range of topics, including environmental fluid mechanics, hydraulics, remote sensing, environmental biophysics, and ecohydrology.His research program is committed to advancing the understanding of natural environmental systems and contributing to the better modeling techniques to support sustainable water management across scales.
