Explains the Federal and New York legal systems through articles, chapters from legal research textbooks and instructor created handouts. Compares and demonstrates the availability of print and electronic legal resources in public and academic library environments. Prepares in class group exercises, graded homework assignments and final project pathfinder requirements. Information Sources and Services, University at Albany, Albany, NYSpring 2013As an instructor in the Information Studies department, taught master’s level students to select and evaluate various sources in reference collections through scholarly readings, in class exercises, graded homework assignments and group presentations. Prepared and delivered lectures on current trends and policies in reference services, understanding the importance of meeting the information needs of all users, and using ethical standards to disseminate information. Obtained presenters from public, academic and medical libraries to describe their respective positions and field questions from students.

• Supervises 2 full time and 2 part time library circulation assistants.• Supervises 2 part time reference librarians.• Coordinates and manages the reference department that consists of 2 full time and 2 part time librarians.• Hires and supervises 25 student circulation assistants.• Manages the interlibrary loan system (ILLiad) and assists in processing interlibrary loan requests.• Provides research and reference services to faculty, students and general public.• Directs stack maintenance and library material weeding/shifting projects.• Internship coordinator for University at Albany Information Studies master’s student.
