As part of Sage's Administrative Operations team, I served as a general office information resource that served to project Sage’s superior corporate image from check-in to check-out. To consistently and reliably deliver on the corporate vision, I developed a comprehensive understanding of Sage’s history and mission to coordinate events with guests, clients, vendors, interview candidates, and VIPs. In my role as the primary point of contact and first-line resource, I facilitated catering, venue preparation and clean-up, package and information distribution, and parking coordination as needed.

Because of my conversational proficiency in Japanese, I earned the opportunity to serve students across two Japanese senior high schools by creating and delivering short- and long-term English language lesson plans that served 450 students with reading, writing, listening, speaking, and comprehension skills. To foster the rapport needed to meet the learning needs of students, I collaborated with 6 Japanese teachers to reinforce my developed conversation and immersion activities. I also worked closely with students, staff, and parents to establish a community presence that maximized program success and fostered individual student growth.

This role provided the opportunity to learn clear and effective communication strategies, as I was required to gather preferences and specific requirements from customers requesting shopping assistance. Through a remote-based operation, I engaged customers to understand their WHY in addition to their WHAT. I attribute that need for in-depth understanding to improving my communication abilities and for improving my rapport-building capabilities because of the necessity for accuracy and ensuring a positive customer experience.

During my introduction to real-world business, I worked closely with account teams to develop insights from data secured through private, online consumer communities for client campaigns. I then recorded and evaluated their personality traits based on their interview responses and entered, coded, and indexed physiological data for use by the Research Director.

In support of the Department of African American Studies students, I researched extensively to locate and leverage relevant resources to support various research assignments, providing extra help and peer editing written assignments for two to three students weekly.
