The Evaluation Unit of the Irish Government's Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht is tasked with supporting and fostering a culture of evaluation across the Department so that policy decisions are evidence-based, have clear objectives and are subject to rigorous appraisal, monitoring and evaluation.- Co-author to two Irish Government Spending Review papers- Designing, conducting and analysing stakeholder surveys for capital expenditure evaluations- Drafting internal methodological and analytical papers- Conducting research on the measurement and quantification of wellbeing for public policy purposes- Providing analytical expertise to support the work of other line sections in the Department

The Consulate General of Ireland in New York promotes and protects Irish interests through its work with the Irish community in the Greater New York area. It is tasked with promoting Irish economic interests, supporting the strong partnership between the US and Ireland, and providing a range of key consular services.Key responsibilities:- Compiling an analytical report on battleground races in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania ahead of the U.S. Congressional Elections 2018.- Working as part of the team with responsibility for organising Ireland’s first official representation at New York Pride and liaising with Irish and Irish-American business, cultural and heritage organisations to participate.- Supporting the Consulate in organising high-level events, including a visit of the Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) and Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister) for the launch of Ireland’s bid for election to the UN Security Council 2021-2022.Furthermore, I completed a period of secondment at the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the United Nations, during which time I supported the organisation of three side-events as part of the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2018.
