Projects have included conversion to Exchange 2010, P2V of servers, deployment of 4 SANs, and a complete data center move.

Network administrator with one of the leading manufacturers of engine preheater products for trucks, power generation, railroad, and marine applications. Responsible for all servers, switches, backup systems, firewalls, proxy systems, and antivirus, as well as work with end users from Tier1 through Tier3.

Volunteer firefighter with a rural fire district. Medical calls, motor vehicle accidents, water rescue, wildland, and structure fires.

Long term temporary assignment in IT for the local school district to cover for another member deployed on military service overseas. During my time there I converted all 5 campuses from Novell Groupwise email to Microsoft Exchange and rolled out a comprehensive new antivirus/proxy/antispam solution from Trend Micro.

Very active volunteer department covering 62 square miles and 30,000 residents, including two highways, an airport, two rivers, and a skydiving center. I responded on average to at least 500 calls each year, handling emergency medical calls and ambulance transport, motor vehicle accidents, swift water rescue, and of course brush and structure fires.

Long term projects have included designing and implementing a complete antivirus solution, converting corporate email systems to Microsoft Exchange, and a complete graphical rewrite and pruning of the corporate web pages, with additional duties including everything else including everything from plumbing repair in the facility to emergency medical care to employees. Company was sold to Creo and the positions were moved to Burnaby, Canada.

During this time the IT department drove the project for all network infrastructure to move out of existing facilities to a newly constructed 300,000 square foot facility including designing network rooms, security badge and access systems, and closed circuit video systems.
