Maintains a leadership role in local, state, and federal public policy issues relevant to the business community by cultivating strategic relationships throughout the region.• Leads the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Business Climate Council responsible for development of the Agenda for Economic Vitality and the Legislative Priorities; Communicates with local, state, and federal officials to promote those priorities.• Participates in the Austin Chamber of Commerce State and Federal Government Affairs Committee, attends annual DC trip to discuss and promote legislative priorities.• Serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors, Round Rock Chamber of Commerce.• Serves on the Momentum Advisory Board advocating for targeted business attraction, expansion, and retention.• Chairman of the Board, Jarrell Chamber of Commerce.Manages municipal accounts throughout Williamson County:• Maintain positive, open lines of communication with City staff to develop and maintain appropriate policies and services throughout the community.• Collaborated with city staff on the development of a strategic plan for the City of Round Rock’s transition to a closed commercial market: Prepared and presented Strategic Plan to City staff.• Oversee company-wide contract revisions to better align with corporate policy and community expectations.• Execute internal preparation and support of legal team.• Provide training, professional development, and oversight of Executive Assistant.• Manage business development throughout the region including price increases, contract renewals, and final resolution of elevated customer service issues. • Manage community relations budget, outreach, and non-profit engagement.
