Graphex 2010 is an Icograda-endorsed National design competition celebrating “The Best of Visual Communication in Canada” since 1977. Presented by the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, the primary goal of Graphex is to promote the value of design to the Canadian public and business community, to celebrate the best in the industry and to create an archive of Canadian design for future generations. Good Design is Good Business.

To further the graphic design industry in BC by creating connections and developing relationships between our Corporate and Community Sponsors and our GDC members. Responsibilities include: securing sponsorship contracts, establishing new sponsor opportunities, working closely with Events to maximize sponsors' exposure and benefits, and collaborating daily with the entire GDCBC Executive Committee to provide the best possible value for our membership.

Sponsorship roles have included ongoing liaison with current sponsors to ensure they are receiving great value for their involvement, remain connected to the GDC membership and encouraging their involvement in GDC events. The position also requires sourcing potentially new sponsors that can provide added value and services to the Executive committee and to the GDC community at large for the future. Additional voluntary roles have also included event planning and coordination including the inaugural Practivisim - practical methods for sustainability in design event - www.practivism.ca

As a Partner and Creative Director for Octopus Solutions I consulted on building holistic brands for visionary companies through brand leadership, communications and customer experience. I've developed countless brand identities and communication materials for the restaurant/hospitality, B2B, retail and technology industries. And had the honour of leading a variety of very talented staff over the five years.
