With over 15 years of professional graphic design and marketing experience I’ve learnt a lot in my time and if I had to summarise my design philosophy - it’s to ‘keep things simple’. I’m a firm believer that an artist creates their own objective whereas a graphic designer fulfils them and have come to accept that the objective in hand can take priority over the design itself. Everything has a purpose and every element works together to take a user from point A to point B, both physically and mentally, as quickly and efficiently as possible. I pride myself in having a very systematic approach to design and have had experience in both B2B and B2C environments. I enjoy working in teams and brainstorming to come up with new ideas but also feel at home working independently and communicating with clients to formulate their ideas and produce lead-generating designs.

Creative It SpecialistOil Spill Response Ltd Jun 2007 - Jul 2008Southampton, United Kingdom■ Created a series of eight Adobe Flash animations explaining various areas of the oil spill clean-up industry based on developing storyboards with experts in the field. These are for Training courses taught all around the world by their experienced staff.■ Organised myself using Gantt charts to keep track of my progress and help reach the important project milestones.■ Developed a Flash based application giving quick interactive access to the series of animations and various other presentation tools to work alongside PowerPoint.■ Other tools include their own custom number converters, an interactive countdown timer and a quiz application using XML so they can develop quizzes while I’m away. These were designed for normal use, smart board or touch-screen computers.■ Helped with various marketing developments, such as an interactive Training Course Directory CD and brochure designs.
