Ensured the activation of the donor relationship via strategic communication to cultivate and qualify donors and prospects who have responded to marketing efforts and actively considering planned and major gifts to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Developed and expanded both existing and new programs within Gift Planning to enhance the total fundraising revenue to over $360 million in FY18; included adding additional staff to team as workloads increased. Reviewed weekly reports of the Stewardship team through performance metrics and revenue reports to determine the area of fundraising that required attention and pivoted the work accordingly. Responsible for the organization’s charitable gift annuity program through proposals, contracts, compliance and employee training, as well as communication with managing financial institution relationship.Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising Stewardship staff, which included 6 direct reports and contractors as needed. Managerial duties included writing annual performance evaluations, employee relationships and daily prioritization of workload. Maintained cross-divisional relationships and vendor relationships that were pertinent to the functions of the Stewardship team.

Responsible for all donor recognition, naming opportunities and funding opportunities at St. Jude, which led to over $420 million in revenue.Served as a liaison between ALSAC and St. Jude Design and Construction and Biomedical Communication departments to fund, design and implement special recognition projects with commitments over $1 million, including Kmart for Kids, Pediatric Cancer Genome Project statue, Tri Delta C Clinic recognition, etc. Managed and oversaw multi-department donor recognition initiatives, such as the Pathway to Hope brick program, which raised an average of $2.3 million annually.Oversaw the day-to-day management of the Donor Recognition team, which included 2 direct reports.

Created and implemented a multi-donor Gift Planning portfolio in partnership with National Direct Marketing for cultivation and stewardship.Responsible for the establishment of individual communications, strategic personal cultivation and the maintenance of key, high-level donor relationships in pursuit of revenue.Accountable for the handling of donors in the Northeastern United States territory by using the knowledge of planned giving to direct the donor to local field staff for further strategic solicitation.

Activated the appropriate cultivation for prospective and current donors responding to marketing materials, resulting in a lifetime gift to St. Jude.
