I was brought on to Front Desk Imaging as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and perform various administrative tasks to support the office and medical staff.Duties and Responsibilities:• Patient Reception: Greet patients and visitors warmly, check them in, and provide any necessary paperwork or forms to be completed.• Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations. Ensure that the appointment calendar is organized and updated.• Patient Registration: Collect and verify patient information, including personal details, insurance information, and medical history.• Insurance Verification: Verify patients' insurance coverage, confirm eligibility, and ensure necessary authorizations or referrals are in place.• Answering Phones: Handle phone calls, inquiries, and provide information to patients or direct them to the appropriate staff member.• Check-In and Check-Out: Assist patients during their arrival and departure from the office, ensuring they have a pleasant experience.• Communication: Relay messages between patients and medical staff, including doctors and technicians.• Administrative Support: Assist with general office tasks, such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry.• Patient Comfort: Ensure that the waiting area is clean, comfortable, and well- maintained. Offer support and assistance to patients who may require accommodations.• Customer Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service to create a positive experience for patients.
