Peer Learning Advisers are students currently enrolled at UniSC who meet with other students online or in person for a one-on-one or group consultation. In this role, I work with other students discussing aspects of assignments and academic expectations, and work with students to improve their essay writing skills. Peer Learning Advisers help with task management and analysing assignment questions, researching, referencing and using relevant supporting evidence, academic integrity, academic writing, proofreading and editing strategies.

My role at Buderim Chempro Chemist was to provide exceptional customer service and advice to customers within a retail pharmacy setting as a Cert III qualified pharmacy assistant. In this role, I applied the knowledge learnt through my Diplomas in Naturopathy and Nutrition to the Vitamins and Weight Loss categories. This was a casual position as I continued studying a Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of the Sunshine Coast and ran my online business.

As a Pharmacy Business Consultant I called on pharmacies and worked with key decision makers to promote and range key products maximising profit opportunities for the pharmacy while achieving growth and KPI’s for Sandoz. This role also included key account management of two local pharmacy groups and training of pharmacy staff on substitution techniques. Throughout my time at Sandoz, I exceeded KPI expectations and was nominated for numerous awards including Rookie and Rep of the Year.

During my time at Dr Tim’s Success (now rebranded as Dr Macleod's Medical Foods), I worked closely with the managing director as well as Dr Tim Orchard, a GP who had developed a ketogenic weight loss program. My role included working with pharmacies to grow their weight loss program in store through training pharmacy staff on how to advise customers on the suitability of a ketogenic weight loss program. I was also responsible for local area marketing, merchandising and looking for potential new stockists. Additionally, I was heavily involved in the reinvigoration of the brand working with marketing companies on design options and rewriting sections of the program manual citing peer reviewed journal articles to support any claims made. By the end of my 15 months at Orfam, I had increased the number of stockists by 53%, increased the annual turnover for the program by 24% and increased the number of trained consultants by over 400%.

My role at Pfizer was to help pharmacies transition to the Pfizer Direct distribution model while working towards KPI’s to protect the loss of exclusivity of many of Pfizer’s major brands including Lipitor, Celebrex, Aricept, Xalatan and Viagra. I covered a vast geographic territory and demonstrated consistently strong planning and execution in a very hostile and competitive environment, resulting in strong achievement of KPI’s and finishing as the number one performing sales representative in my last year working for the company.

My work for the Capital Chemist Group ranged across a number of client bases including palliative care, mental health, youth disability and aged care. I was responsible for dispensary management including stock control and providing patients with tailored medicine solutions through Webster Pak systems. During my tenure at O’Connor Capital Chemist, I grew the number of Webster patients from under 30 to over 100 community patients.

• Management of Websterpak database and packing Unit Dose and Multi Dose Websterpaks for over 200 clients per week. • Working with community patients and nursing home staff to ensure accuracy and compliance of medication regimes. • Front of shop duties including merchandising, serving customers and providing advice, handling customers queries and complaints, ordering of front shop stock and liasing with company representatives.
