Twenty-Plus Years of Proven Customer-Driven Focus.I’ve worn many hats over the last 20 years. I’ve been a Teacher, Cash Office Supervisor, Bookkeeper, Court Recording Monitor, and most recently a Senior Underwriting Assistant. Currently, I’ve assumed the role of an Underwriter and CT Realtor®. I can truly say that I’ve enjoyed every single role. Each of these jobs have all reverted back to what makes me, me; what I am at my core and what I excel at - Customer Service. At 16 years old, my Mother drove me up and down the main road in town applying to any and all available jobs. At the time, the grocery store that hired me on the spot, was not my dream job. The cashier job was far from my dream, to be honest. However, in retrospect, it was the very best thing I’ve ever done - Thanks, Mom!In this role I learned how to interact with people, to foster relationships, complete tasks in a timely manner, audit a system of checks and balances, create scheduling procedures, problem-solve — just to name a few. All of these skills ignited in me then, have followed me always. I am so grateful for my first boss and friend, Louis Romeo, Sr., taking a chance on shy 16-year old me that Saturday in June, 2001. I am eternally grateful for the work ethic that job had instilled in me along with the quote he shared that I have repeated in every one of my job interviews since. I’m not sure if he coined it, but the wisdom behind it is epic: ‘Everyone should have to work customer service in their lifetime, it would make the World a better place.’Life Inspo: Dreams don’t work unless you do.
