She now focuses full time on developing dancers and directing Snap Dance Studios. Courtney has been teaching dance for over 20 years and has taken her students on performance tours to Disneyland, all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, England, New York City and aboard Carnival Cruise Lines. She has also adjudicated dance competitions throughout Alberta, Ontario and Nova Scotia. Courtney is an ADAPT and Acrobatic Arts certified dance instructor, and holds a Communications Degree.Courtney is responsible for strategic planning, staffing, leadership, programming, marketing, overall visioning, finances, and community involvement.The combination of her passion, dedication and business sense has resulted in numerous awards for Snap Dance Studios including: Employer of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, and being voted Best Art/Music/Dance Instruction in her community for over 8 years. Courtney has been an ambassador for Lululemon Athletica, and voted “Best Local Entrepreneur” in the Town of Cochrane for the past 4 years in a row. As an advocate for life-long learning, Courtney is the professional development chair of the Wild Rose Dance Arts Association; she enjoys connecting, helping and learning from others in her position. She has been profiled in the book “Dance Studio Secrets: 65 Ways To Build A Thriving Studio” by Clint Salter, and in 2019 won the Dance Studio Owner of the Year (Canada’s National Academy of Dance Education) and Balance Award (Dance Studio Owners Association).

Courtney was a founding partner of Studio MC at the age of 21. In 2010, she acquired another local dance studio, merged and re-branded to Snap Dance Studios.

Courtney was a growth agent for the emerging technology sector in Calgary. She specialized in seeking and assessing talent that could drive the growth of new enterprises.

Courtney provided marketing, communications and recruiting support for super cool start ups in Calgary.

Along with diving into the high-tech world, Courtney dabbled in the following during her time in this position: event management, media relations, development of marketing materials, writing (print and online), award and speaker applications for the CEO.

As Courtney's first "downtown" job, she remembers this position fondly. She was responsible for:-managing strategic relationships with other organizations-writing newsletter articles, government reports, proposals, annual report pieces, marketing plans and web content-securing media attention, managing media launches and acting as the company spokesperson in interviews-planning and executing numerous events
