Stephen leverages over 35 years of commercial leadership, strategy, brand and marketing experience gained across the theatrical, entertainment, commercial real estate and destination sectors.How it started. He is a graduate of the internationally recognised London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA). This well rounded foundation in professional theatre production and commercial event creation and management led to production work in the UK, US and Europe. His early work later segued in to developing compelling and highly functional destinations - public attraction and theme park developments - with Walt Disney Imagineering, the Tussauds Group plus major temporary projects - Expos, Sport and Entertainment destinations - later adding conventional prime retail, leisure and office assets to his experience across a number of significant urban regeneration projects collectively valued in £billions.His more recent independent consulting and advisory experience spans working with a portfolio of clients - owners, investors, institutional funds, sovereign funds and private equity funds - problem solving through knowledge and empathy - on commercial real estate creation and place-making, investment and development management activities and delivering urban destinations - offices, retail and leisure - plus theme parks and attractions - collectively valued in £billions. This work covered development, investment, asset management and marketing challenges for real estate destinations; theme parks & attractions, retail schemes, prime offices and urban mixed use locations in the UK and Europe.Since 2011 he has served as a non-executive director of businesses spanning theatre, theme park & attraction services, leisure, retail and real estate commercialisation.In 2023 he returned to his alma mater, LAMDA, as part of a new generation leadership team whose mandate is to set the next pathway for this 164 year old internationally renowned home for training actors, directors, creative and technical practitioners involved in theatre, television, film, audio and digital media.His task; directing LAMDA's UK and international brand, marketing and communications for the eponymous Internationally recognised Drama School and for LAMDA Examinations, the UK's largest speech and drama examination board.
