- Excited to be working as both a People Manager and Work Manager with Protocol Labs, and to be serving a talented team of 8 internal engineers (++ 15-20 embedded agency contributors at a given time) as we build Web3 products for public consumption which showcase IPFS and other PL technologies.- First 6 Months: I came onboard amid the backdrop of our team starting to reach a point where the increase in throughput from adding new engineering resources was diminishing. I worked surveying and interviewing our agency partners and full time engineers to understand where the pain points were in our process and developer experience. From there I proposed and developed solutions with the engineering team and leadership. In this I sought to not only address our processes, but to ensure we are working to attain the cultural alignment required to run this new system in production.- On the most recent company-wide Engagement Survey (the first in my first six months here,) my team reported results significantly above organizational average (by 5-24%) in all areas that could be considered the realm of my personal impact, including but not limited to: Culture (+13%,) Alignment (+19%,) Career Development (+19%,) Useful Feedback (+20%,) "I know what to do to be successful in my role (+20%,) "See myself here in 2+ years" (+9%.)- Our Tech Stack: Javascript, Node.js, GoLang, Rust, IPFS, IPLD, UCAN, etc.

- One of the first 30 engineers at the eventual unicorn startup, at acquisition ($1.2B) there were ~150 engineers. Aided in this growth over my tenure, specifically over 6 months helping to grow our UI team from just 1 engineer (me) to 8 devs. Spent 10+ hours a week sifting through resumes and interviewing what would eventually be a top tier team of UI Engineers!- Mainly worked collaborating with product on and building/maintaining multiple versions of the Yammer Web UI, the primary interface used by clients of the social enterprise application.- Proposed solutions for and implemented A/B Testing initiatives in which we sought to improve (or recover) our core metrics.
