Tasks related to design of airspace and instrument flight procedures (IFPD) at Spanish airports, providing technical assistance to ENAIRE.- Flight procedure design projects (both conventional and PBN) in different Spanish airports- Study and analysis of airspace. Airspace structure modification projects (TMA, CTRs, ATZs, etc.) for different Spanish airports- ATC Minimum Surveillance Altitude Chart Designs (ATCSMAC). Proposals of new ATCSMAC charts and participation in the validation process- Design and modification of Visual Approach Charts (VAC)- Use of specific support software (CAD & GIS. Microstation, AutoCAD, EOS, Global Mapper, FPDAM 8.7- Generation of average flight trajectories- Scenario generation and review- Elaboration and review of operational impact studies

Mainly work related to the design of instrument flight procedures (IFPD) according to ICAO criteria (Doc. 8168 PANS-OPS), using specific software such as AutoCAD and Global Mapper.- Design of instrument flight procedures with area navigation (PBN)- Design of instrument flight procedures with conventional navigation- Study and analysis of terrain and obstacles, handling and representation of geographic data, digital terrain models (DTM, DEM, LIDAR, etc.)- Elaboration of aeronautical charts according to ICAO criteria (Annex 4 and Annex 15). SID, STAR and approach charts (IAC)- Coding and decoding application programming of the final approach segment data block (FAS DB, applicable to SBAS and GBAS approaches) according to ICAO criteria (Annex 10 and PANS-OPS)- Calculation and representation of CNS systems coverage (VOR, DME, surveillance radar and communications)- Collaboration in aeronautical safety study related to the possible effects that may be caused to the operations of an airport by future urban developments nearby- Collaboration in the study of the violation of environmental protection zones

Activities related to the design of instrument flight procedures. - Familiarization with the specific software, mainly AutoCAD and Global Mapper, through the realization of several examples of existing procedures. Construction of protection areas, evaluation of surfaces and obstacles- Study on the feasibility of establishing new criteria for the minimum vertical separation to be established between aircraft when they are in airspaces of different classes. In particular when they are in controlled airspace (instrument flights) versus others in uncontrolled airspace (visual flights). More specifically, this vertical separation was set at 500 ft or 1000 ft, and the analysis was focused on the possible effects that these changes may cause on the dimensions of the TMA and CTR associated to Asturias Airport (OVD, LEAS)
