For a second summer, I interned for the creators of SPACE JAM and the new GHOSTBUSTERS movies. Alongside five other interns, my responsibility was to pour through scripts the company received and provide coverage at a rapid turnaround pace. At the end of the internship, I was able to pitch my own film concept to the executives of the company.

I sold engagement rings and other types of jewelry. I have a deep passion for engagement rings and their cultural significance, this was such a fun and cool job! I loved helping people find their dream engagement rings.

Despite quarantine, for twelve weeks I was successfully able to intern for the creators of SPACE JAM and the new GHOSTBUSTERS movies. I scanned and organized incoming mail, packaged and delivered outgoing mail, and scanned and shredded upwards of 1,000-1,500 sheets of old paperwork a day. Really amazing job, a lot of free snacks. My bosses were amazing people and I love them dearly.

For almost two months, I worked at Ing and McKee Insurance in Red Deer, Alberta Canada as a Data Processing Specialist, receptionist, and mail processor. My job was to pour through up to fifty car insurance case files everyday, combing for mistakes and sending them back to the customer’s broker to be corrected. I would also cover the front desk many days of the week as an assistant and sometimes lone receptionist. Over my time at Ing and McKee I learned the value of work-life relationships, high stress management with difficult/volatile customers, and the importance of a willingness to take on a job that may not be in your desired skill set.

I would mop and sweep, clean bathrooms, wash windows and windex the glass refrigerators, refill ice machines, wash dishes, bus tables, stock the freezer, water plants, clean kitchen, bring people their food, and man the cash register. It was a really great first job, the people were fantastic and super friendly.
