Mentra by SATS is an initiative within SATS focusing on Digital Training / Home Training / Connected Fitness. The objective is to extend the vision of SATS; Making People Healthier and Happier, and to reach people with limited time to go to the gym, people not comfortable going to the gym or people not having access to a gym in their local area. The first product launched in August 2021 was the interactive fitness mirror named Rflex. Mentra Digital was launched January 2022 and offered the training content on multiple platforms. Mentra by SATS was established as a startup outside SATS to keep the focus solely on home- and digital training. During the first 6 months we went from the idea of the fitness mirror to having the first 100 units placed in households in the Norway and Sweden. The team worked very agile and with the MVP mindset. Testing, learning and gaining feedback along the way. Together with the team we have created a brand new training experience that engages and motivates the user to continue working out.My role has been to lead the initiative since December 2020. During the first half of 2021 I recruited 22 team members including developers, content producers, designers, product owner, supply chain and commercial roles. In addition, my work as included:• launching the brand• setting up a framework for a growth mindset• establishing the office and in-house production studio for content creation. • negotiating multiple agreements• implementing analytics and KPI’s structures

As Chief Digital Officer in SATS I was overall responsible for IT operations, Digital development and Analytics and a part of the executive management group in SATS. We enable more self service for our members to increase efficiency and reduce lead times at customer care. We insourced the development of web, app and our back-end services and recruited 25+ people.
