Server security and Internet cryptography technologies were researched and utilized to provide the institution with a secure DHTML based site for their customers. This site came online in November of 1997, and served its 175,000 members.Created an intranet application for General Electric, which allowed their employees to search for preferred hotels and office location throughout the world. The application had a HTML front-end that communicated with a custom C++ cgi-bin application on a NT server. The backend application queried a GE database using ODBC for all office and hotel information, called the MapQuest cartography database to obtain a map of the surrounding area, and displayed the information back to the user in a concise graphical web page using HTML and JavaScript.
