I am responsible for building the infrastructure at the co-op, at the moment this also includes leading and implementing all development for the co-op as well as provide strategic leadership, execution and IT consulting services to the co-op. I work with business and IT partners to understand business initiatives; develop IT strategy, and Roadmap that out to achieve our goals. In this position I've lead a team of internal and external resources, to deliver the supporting strategic information technology that is crucial to our business initiatives. I'm accountable for developing and managing IT program plans and budgets, ensuring appropriate staffing levels across programs/projects, overall team execution of programs.

CSI Responsibilities • Analyze monitoring data from customer IT infrastructure and identify automation opportunities • Work with IPsoft administrators and clients through internal ticketing system and telephone reports or teleconferences to identify and understand recurring processes that may require automation. • Design and implement automatic processes and problem remediation using proprietary tool (Ipautomata) based on other team members' input or own observations and recommendations • Provision and implement custom scripts (batch, shell, Perl, TCL) • Keep track of Ipautomata performance, collect and compile statistical reports • Provision and implement configuration changes, both in IPautomata and on client systems • Troubleshoot process execution problems and work with other team members to correct them • Maintain and adjust existing automated solutions to reflect all changes in client’s environments • Correct environment configurations so that automated remediation tools can be decommissioned • Collaborate with other team members to come up with new inventive ways of eliminating the “human factor” • Process internal and customer requests via IPsoft change management system • Applying new knowledge (through training, mentoring, documented processes) to handle more difficult tasks • Work with Cisco engineers on automation projects; testing your code on the latest Cisco technologies available in Cisco lab environments • Plan and document systems, respond to all inquiries of systems to which he/she is responsible

I was responsible for programming the Atmel ATmega48 in an embedded system responsible for controlling oilfield equipment. Although this was around the same time the arduino was introduced we were not using it, it had yet to gain the respect of serious engineers and we implemented our own in house solution. Eventually the project outgrew the ATmega48 and we moved up through the 88, 168, and ended on the ATmega328 (like the current arduino). Although I am familiar with the Arduino IDE, and I even have some github projects in it, the entire above project was written in straight C with just a Makefile up top for all my needs. I still have a deep love of getting Makefiles to do simple tasks.
