My first order of business in this role was to research and develop a roles & responsibilities for this team to properly support the Midstream business. This was achieved and delivered through our “A&I Control Plan” that is reviewed monthly to maintain a focus on the “Basics” for our team to properly support our Midstream business. Since we are a core process support function, I felt that it was important for my team to imbed ourselves in the operations/maintenance core meetings and commit to routine field visits to truly understand improvement opportunities. Transitioning from a core operations function to a support function was a big learning, I went from setting the priority to listening and supporting the customer’s priority. This sometimes is very difficult, because the two views can be very different.

Responsibilities Include: Led a team of 25+ to operate and maintain our Midstream pipeline systems that ties to 5 Central Processing Plants. In this position my focus was to provide a clear priority that included, visibility to upcoming activities, readiness through quality planning, and the sharing of learnings through after-action reviews for a sustainable operation. Our team continuously communicated with ourselves plus multiple support groups such as finance, planning, supply, safety, construction, land, and contractors to successfully manage safety, budget, and continuous improvement along with a good team moral!

Responsibilities Include: Operating and maintaining natural gas and condensate (liquid) pipelines. Since my time as a foreman I’ve maintained the previous responsibilities (from Hawkfield Services) as well as taken on new. I expanded a team from 2 to 28 personnel through, interviewing, onboard training, and rolling out roles & responsibilities. Developed a daily work & annual vacation schedule for the team. Facilitated weekly communication meetings to keep all driving in the same direction. I have been involved in SAP and work management implementation, including strategy, work instruction, and work schedule development. I have since been involved in emergency response planning, and integrity management planning development and maintenance. I have participated in 5 why incident investigations for root cause analysis. Coached employees in the JRA process to ensure a zero harm environment was maintained. Training: HAZWAPER, Safe land, core compliance, competent person excavation, H2S certified, Smith driving.

Responsibilities Include: Operating and maintaining natural gas and condensate (liquid) pipelines. Purging and putting lines into service in a safe and timely manner after construction is complete. Coordinating and managing different chemicals that are used during operation, such as Corrosion Inhibitor, Paraffin Inhibitor, and H2S Scavenger. I work with contractors on line crossings to see that spacing is correct and that there is no damage to coating or pipe, along with operating a line-locator to locate pipelines. Coordinating and implementing a pigging program for both natural gas and condensate pipelines. Worked with landowners on a day to day basis managing different maintenance issues and coordinating the steps to resolve each project safely. I spent a lot of time assisting meter tech with the installation of total-flow and corriolis meters. I helped in the construction and operation of our liquid handling facility. In this facility, Condensate stabilizers, Gas dehydrators, Natural Gas Compressors, and a 40,000bbl. tank farm with lacts to load out trucks is in operation. I worked my way up from operator to pipeline foreman after one year of employment.

Responsibilities Include: Field Gauger in charge of getting daily production readings and inputing data into computer. Filling out and changing monthly charts used to record production, along with up keep and maintenance of Barton and Total Flow Meters. I test assigned wells on a weekly basis, which includes putting each well through a separator to get a gas and fluid rate. Responsible for isolating and bleeding down equipment such as separators, meter runs, flow lines, and gas lift lines for repairs and maintenance. Also responsible for kicking off wells after workover rigs move off well locations. Working pressures range from 20# system to 1000# gaslift system.

Corpus Christi, Texas Area

Responsibilities include: In charge of monitoring and making adjustments accordingly to daily flow rates to and from customers and keeping pressures from exceeding limits of pipeline. Work with field employees in their process of calibrating meters and valves. Talk with producers and landowners about everyday pipeline procedures and routines. Work with pipeline compressor stations and treating plants. Respond to line-locates.
