Successfully completed 301 new Student-Housing, Multifamily, and Senior-Housing projects (73,511 living units) in 24 states as MEP principle and engineer of record over a combined 11 year period. Estimated total construction of $5.4 billion and 84.6 million SF. MEP engineering design of projects including new construction, rehabilitation and historic preservation for Multifamily, High-rise Residential, Mixed-Use, Podium, On & Off Campus Student Housing, Retail, Hospitality, Business Environments, Design-Build, Renovation and Adaptive-Use projects, ranging in size to over 1,000,000 SF.

Managed, coordinated and supervised the planning, budgeting, scheduling, design, estimating, bidding, procurement and construction of all new and renovation construction projects at Texas State campuses. Successfully managed implementation of a $975 million Capital Improvement Program and 10-year Campus Master Plan. Coordinated and managed a program of over 250 renovation projects annually, involving approximately 4.5 million square feet, typically with over $350 million in concurrent active projects. Supervised and managed an office of 27 professional and administrative staff; with typically 16 A/E consultant teams, 7 different construction firms and 150 specialty professional consultants under contract.

Project management client services included planning, scheduling, design supervision-review-oversight, and/or contract-construction administration of MEP engineered systems of educational, public and private buildings. Project types include new construction, rehabilitation of existing structures, and historic preservation. Successfully completed 241 new student-housing, multi-family, and senior-housing projects (62,047 living units) in 18 states as project manager and engineer of record over 9 year period ('93-‘02). Estimated total construction of $3.9 billion and 72 million SF. Additional client services consisted of owner’s project management representative, condition assessment, peer review, failure analysis, energy and cost analysis, life-safety systems, telecommunications systems, and construction administration.

Planned, supervised, and coordinated engineering project management for the design, construction, maintenance, and preservation of the Texas State Capitol, Capitol Extension, and General Land Office (over one million square feet and $186 million total construction budget). Additional activities included: Planned, scheduled, and coordinated asbestos-related maintenance and contracted abatement activities. Developed and implemented a current state of the art fiber-optic based telecommunications and computer LANs plan for the projects, compatible with the Capitol Complex.
