Operational since Jan 2020, it has contributed close to RM 10M in revenue to the company via GLOW Penjana project.

Roles & Responsibilities--------------------------Established, led and managed a dynamic software engineering team from the ground up. The engineering team currently consists of multi-talented solution architects, system analysts, big data specialists, programmers (with expertise in C#, Java for Android, Objective-C, React, Flutter, Angular, MySql, PostgreSql, Apache Hadoop and Spark) and test engineers in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Established the company’s technical vision and led all aspects of the company’s technological development. Worked in consultative fashion with other department heads as an advisor of technologies that may improve efficiency and effectiveness. Conducted extensive training and mentoring sessions on software design architecture and CRADT framework. Introduced and cultivated the use of DevOps (CI / CD) and Agile development methodologies in the work culture, identified talents and utilize them effectively. Determined the hardware and software investments required to serve over 15M survey datasets, 200 regional staffs and 10,000 survey panelists in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.Deliverables-------------Enterprise Survey & Project Management System - The Enterprise Survey & Project Management System consists of the front-end, back-end and mobile applications that cater to millions of data collection by over 10,000 survey panelists in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. The data is then mined and processed by the Data Management and Artificial Intelligence teams before being presented to the clients. The system makes it possible for clients to keep up with the latest consumer trends and gain competitive advantage in order to stay ahead of competition within a short period of time efficiently. This system was also used by the previous Prime Minister’s Office to capture independent political insights nationwide. Operational since 2014, it has contributed close to RM 100M in revenue to the company.

Roles & Responsibilities--------------------------Developed an intermediary platform to facilitate onboarding of Malaysian homes as short-term vacation rentals to global and local market-facing platforms such as Airbnb.com, Booking.com, HomeAway.com, MyCribBooking.com and LetsGoHoliday.my. This pioneer platform collaborates as a partner to the Accommodation Sharing Economy Program, a national initiative to promote adoption of digital economy solutions, by enabling the community to participate and further support Malaysia’s tourism growth. Established, led and managed a hybrid software engineering team of freelancers and internal staffs which consisted of solution architects, system analysts, database experts, and software and test engineers to deliver a comprehensive solution that supports the Accommodation Sharing Economy Program. Designed and implemented the sustainability model of the Accommodation Sharing Economy Program.Deliverables-------------myhomesharing.com - A front-end vacation rental portal which allows home owners and property managers to manage vacation rentals data and integrated booking calendars. As an intermediary platform, it allows property managers to list their vacation rentals on multiple channels (participating market-facing platforms) to increase visibility and revenue. It also allows visitors to book vacation rentals on their preferred platforms.Enterprise Property Management System - A comprehensive back-end system that supports the management and profiling of short-term vacation rentals, home owners and property managers (who collects vacation rentals data and manage them). The system is able to push and pull data from participating market-facing platforms via APIs. Operational since 2018, this solution has contributed close to RM 2M in revenue to the company.

Roles & Responsibilities--------------------------Worked together with a senior Project Manager of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), a subject matter expert in oil and gas maintenance services, to establish, lead and develop a software engineering team to deliver a mobile app and back-end system that increases inspection work efficiency and shortens project turnaround time. Led all technical discussions with potential clients — tank builder and piping contractor — to understand issues and design probable solutions. Developed technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals. Discovered and implemented new technologies that yield competitive advantage. Utilized stakeholders’ feedbacks to execute necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.Deliverables-------------Inspection Monitoring System - A total solution that focuses on increasing the efficiency of project inspection and maintenance services workflow and shortening project turnaround time. It consists of a solid back-end system that manages all projects, equipment, work inspections, work assignments, job status and billing instructions. It pushes dynamic inspection forms to a mobile app to be used on-site and pulls responses whenever the mobile device is connected to the internet. It allows all stakeholders to view the progress of a particular project and prompts proper action to be taken when an issue arises.

Roles & Responsibilities--------------------------Established, led and managed a team of programmers and IT support staffs to deliver and maintain a comprehensive loan management system that serves the following stakeholders: banks, Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (ANGKASA), government servants and sales agents. Determined needs, use and replenishment of technology within strategic and policy guidelines for the company consisting of more than 30 employees and 100 agents. Led all technical discussions with sales agents, banks and ANGKASA to ensure seamless system integrations and resolve all operational issues.Deliverables-------------Enterprise Loan Management System - A comprehensive loan management system that caters to personal loan products offered by banks to the government servants with monthly repayment done via ANGKASA’s salary deduction. The system allows independent sales agents to register customers and monitor the status of loan applications online. Each loan application has to go through a detailed process workflow which includes eligibility calculator, credit checking, document management, bank approval and booking of loan amount at ANGKASA. The system receives monthly deduction data from ANGKASA, reconciles and sends repayment reports to banks. It is currently serving personal loan products from CIMB Bank, Pubilc Islamic Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, AmBank and Kuwait Finance House. In 2018, the system distributed a total of RM 136M loans to 20,000 customers nationwide and contributed over RM 5.4M in revenue to the company.

Roles & Responsibilities--------------------------Designed and developed a disruptive online platform to train and develop Experience Host — a group of verified hosts who offer personalized local experience services to international and local tourists. This platform was launched by Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association (MITA) in collaboration with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) as part of a new National Sharing Economy initiative. Established, led and managed a team of talented freelancers which consisted of software engineers and mobile app developers to deliver a dynamic solution that supports the Sharing Economy initiative. Ensured seamless system integrations with participating market-facing platforms such as tourplus.my, wetugo.com and showaround.com. Designed the sustainability model of the disruptive platform.Deliverables-------------tourbuddy.my - A comprehensive solution which consisted of front-end and back-end systems, and mobile apps that allowed the profiling and management of experience hosts, experience packages, and training and mentoring sessions. The system was able to push and pull data from participating market-facing platforms via APIs. The system, unfortunately, had been shut down due to controversial regulatory issues it had posed in the tourism industry despite producing strong market reaction and positive impacts.

Assisted Senior Principal Partner in evaluating technology solutions and business viability and provided recommendations.Deliverables-------------Evaluated and proposed the best technology solutions for TF Value Mart Sdn Bhd retail business which helped secure a private equity investment fund of RM 30M.Identified and recommended MB Telecom Ltd (Romania) in finding a regional technology partner and appointing the sole distributor of its core product, Roboscan (Robotic Scanning System), for Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei. Proposed a complete business and financial plan for Roboscan’s operation in Malaysia. Roboscan is a non-intrusive inspection system capable to realize in seconds the radiography of a car, truck, container or any other large object of similar size. It is used in high security areas such as border crossing points, sea harbors and military access points, has the highest throughput in the world, up to 500 small vehicles per hour and 200 trucks or buses.

Determined needs, use and replenishment of technology within strategic and policy guidelines for the company consisting of more than 50 employees. Advised the group management on hardware and software tools selection, technology investments, initiatives, ICT resources and provided subject matter expertise in technological innovation. Identified and developed local talents to be part of the dynamic team which contributed towards successful implementation of social enterprise programs. Identified and evaluated new technology tools and gauged applicability to business process.Deliverables-------------1AZAM KIT Profiling & Program Management System - A one-stop profiling and program management solution that profiled the poor and hardcore poor communities listed in the eKasih database available from the Prime Minister’s Office. The system matched the profiles with social programs with high impact such as English literacy improvement, ICT skills development and education in microsourcing industry. It also managed, utilized and linked up existing community centers nationwide. The system played a crucial role in securing and delivering the program which contributed a total sum of RM 14M in revenue to the company.
