 Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored, including credit control, cost control and appropriate stock management.  Advise on the proper allocation of resources, perform analysis and recommendations on investments in the form of capex or marketing. Ensure that appropriate financial regulations and controls are in place and in use at all times and keeping up-to-date with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and international accounting standards (IAS). Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts by ensuring transactions/journals are posted to respective accounts accurately. Overseeing the reconciliation of banks, vendors, customers and other ledger accounts. Coordinating month end and year end closing activities. Period opening and closing, rebates settlement, foreign currency revaluation, depreciation run, payroll posting and verification among others. Prepare, review detailed budgets and analyzing against actuals, with recommendations to course correct. Make regular reports to the directors and senior managers on income, expenditure and any variations from budgets. Ensure that all financial reporting obligations are met in relation to our suppliers and other service providers. Ensure that adequate working capital is safeguarded through maintaining adequate cashflow. Prepare timely and accurate monthly/quarterly management accounts. Management of vendors, debtors account and fixed asset register. Ensuring tax and other statutory returns are done within preset deadline. Coordinating both external and internal audit and ensure effective implementation of audit recommendations, making of final books of accounts. Ensuring up-to-date costing and margin analysis is performed on monthly basis. Involved in the development of the company strategic plan and increasing shareholder value. Implementation of financial risk management policies of the company, which include insurance of assets ,open risks

 Preparation of management accounts monthly. Bank reconciliation and budgeting. Company asset management; maintaining asset register. Management of the accounts payables. Preparation of the company statutory deductions and submission of the same i.e vat,paye,withholding tax and installment tax. Preparation of audit and the audit file.  To ensure all accounting entries are well posted in the system and the financial ledgers reflect correct Preparation of the payroll monthly and processing staff salary advances. Posting of the payroll Journals and other relevant journals. Posting of the invoices and branch sales to the accounting system. Reconciliation of the creditors accounts and preparation of payment vouchers. Bank report preparation (daily)/cash flows projections report. Management of the MPESA payment platform. Preparation of the weekly sales vs. purchases analysis report that’s discussed by the management(Includes sales for eleven branches and head office analysis) Training of new finance staff.

 Management of the petty cash both for head office and branches. Preparation of the payment vouchers and writing of cheques.
