-Trained a team of supply and maintenance Marines in proper supply and maintenance practices and then implemented process improvements that brought the section from non-mission capable to a mission ready status, resulting in a noteworthy performance on the Field Supply and Maintenance Analysis Office inspection in August 2016 just 6 months after taking the position. I was then able to sustain those processes improvements and directly contribute to the unit achieving the highest inspection score in III MEF in December 2018.- Asked by unit operations section to improve training and readiness reporting. Designed an excel workbook that allows multiple departments to record completion of required training and readiness events, automatically compiles the data for briefing, provides planning capability, and alerts the operations section when training and readiness events are nearing expiration. -Identified a data collection problem that was causing weekly equipment readiness briefs to be inaccurate. Designed and implemented a custom Microsoft Excel workbook to simplify collection and automate analysis of maintenance data. This change resulted in over 100 weekly man-hours saved within the maintenance management department, and provided the unit commander with a more accurate state of resource readiness

-Coordinated with contractors and Marines to develop plans including customer requirements, technical specifications, and requesting funding to install, operate, and maintain various video teleconferencing and intelligence analysis systems in both secret and TS/SCI classification environments. Efforts resulted in the units enhanced ability to provide support and communication capability during real-world missions in the Asia area of operations.

Planned, coordinated supplies, logistics and transportation, and facilitated professional and military training for over 750 reserve and active duty Marines. I designed and implemented a Microsoft Excel program to track training completion, track the cost and on-hand quantities of both consumable and non-consumable training resources, and provide cost analysis information for forecasting input during quarterly and yearly budget meetings. The program reduced previous year costs by over 20% and helped facilitate safe and accident-free training over a three-year period. I was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for my efforts.

- Developed tailored English lessons for 3 Japanese students with varying levels of English fluency, who were studying for the English Proficiency (EIKEN) Exam. All three students were able to pass the exam and exceed average scores.- Provided specialized English speech practice sessions for Japanese students participating in English speech contests. 3 of the 4 students placed in the local competition and won a two-week trip abroad. 1 student placed 2nd in the regional competition and won a two-week trip abroad and a chance to compete in national competition in Tokyo Japan.

Marine Corps Bases Okinawa Japan

Managed a diverse team of military members, Japanese civilians and civilian contractors to identify technical and non-technical requirements and provide input for the installation and upgrade of the Project 25 (P25) Enhanced Land Mobile Radio (E-LMR) communication system for Marine Corps Bases Japan. Responsible for maintaining infrastructure and end-user devices across Okinawa, I identified deficiencies in the team’s ability to manage repair part stock levels. I created a Microsoft Access database to help track levels, and alert maintainers when parts reached a designated reorder point. The database implementation helped reduce average maintenance cycle time by more than 25% and helped the team maintain over 95% end-user device readiness. I was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for my efforts.

Determined the logistical support and bill of materials for spare parts required to sustain the maintenance of vehicle-based communication equipment for 25 vehicles for 6 months in a combat environment and two 8-month unit deployments to Okinawa Japan. I was able to sustain over 95% equipment readiness and directly contributed to the success of our unit in combat and training operations. I was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for my efforts.
