Currently providing consulting and engineering support for the various systems under development and being managed by OADC/DPA/DMB. This role involves the definition of system and application requirements and creation of high-level architectural specifications while ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms while meeting the timelines and expectations of stakeholders. Responsibilities also involve supporting the security aspects of these systems (e.g., Certification and Accreditation, privacy impacts, vulnerability testing/scanning, etc.), accessibility aspects (e.g., Section 508 requirements, mobile accessibility support, etc.), and data/content migration aspects.

Currently a co-owner and managing member of a limited liability company focused on providing systems/software design and development services to healthcare and healthcare-related businesses. The solutions provided to these customers center around web-based document management and systems integration. Software development expertise includes HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript, ASP/C#/VB .NET, PHP, and Java/JSP development as well as database design/development using SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle.

Responsible for managing the activities of a 30+ person department with an expense budget of $4.8M and revenue attainment of over $15M. Successfully held expenses to 83% of plan while achieving 84% of revenue targets. Was responsible for establishing annual operating plans, business objectives, staffing plans, training plans, and direct supervision of a management staff. Prior to role as Director, served as the Chief Engineer/Senior Scientist for the Systems Integration department. In this capacity, I provided technical expertise and guidance for the Systems Integration business focusing in the areas of Document Imaging, Medical Dictation/Transcription, and Network Services. Responsibilities included establishing the tools, methodologies, and resources to support the implementation of integration projects. Also performed Project Management duties for various complex integration projects that entailed scoping, pricing, proposal generation, contract negotiation, management of full life-cycle system development, installation, test, acceptance, and documentation.
