Leading product design for CMI's product development arm as a player-coach, working with both in-house designers and top-tier agencies.

Led work on HackerOne's design system working primarily as a designer, but also via product management and even a bit of coding. I worked alongside a team of great front-end engineers to get the system from "0.1 to 1.0," improving consistency of both UI design in Figma and component API design in React.

Led work on HOVER's design system and drove adoption across product teams:• Shipped components via Figma shared libraries matching what's available in code.• Alongside a dedicated front-end engineer, supported (including coding for) a 3-platform component library that supplies teams with React, Bootstrap (for Rails views), and React Native UI elements based on a shared set of JSON tokens.• Wore the hats of design, product management, and (occasionally) engineering for our system.

• Led UX design for SF Digital Services work on the affordable housing system, including the resident-facing DAHLIA application and partner-facing tools, built in conjunction with the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development.• Activities included UX/UI design and prototyping, managing the applications' component/pattern library in CSS/HTML and Figma, user research (generative and evaluative), and working with PMs and engineers to set strategy for future features and tooling.

• Converted from Design Manager back to Principal Designer to lead work on a high-leverage strategic project redefining how Coursera's university partners package and distribute their content to learners beyond our B2C platform.• Working with research, product directors, and engineering leads to unify administrator-facing experiences for employers and educators from both a systems perspective and an IA/UX one. • Mentoring designers across the team, helping grow our capacity in typography, product and systems thinking, and the soft skills they need to succeed.
