After 20 years in marketing and advertising I’ve realised what it is that keeps me coming back for more… I’m obsessed with figuring out what drives human behaviour. Now, you might be thinking, “maybe you should have become a psychologist?”, and sometimes I think the same thing… But then I would have missed out on being a part of a process that creatively seeks to connect, engage, influence and motivate humans of all shapes, ages, sizes, genders, races etc.So actually, I’m obsessed with the intersection where human behaviour and great ideas meet and make magic. And this obsession has motivated me to look at things from all angles; moving from OOH, to publishing, to media agency, to creative agency and now client, I’ve been given the gift of a 360 view of how marketing influences and connects humans to brands.And it’s not just as a marketer that this excites me. I am just as obsessed with growing, developing and nurturing incredible talent and teams. At the end of the day, it’s the magic the people I’ve worked with have created to solve business problems that has been the most profound part of my experience in my career. Being a part of a process that brings out the most awesome ideas, abilities and growth in people around me and those we’re trying to connect with… For me personally, it’s ultimately all about human connection. Most recently I have been lucky enough to be given the chance to take my collective experience and passion for the human experience into my new role at Rhythm Japan. Helping bring the full customer journey to the next level with the incredible team that have created a mountain experience superpower, is a career dream come true. I feel so privileged to be on the journey, and be trusted to help the team shape the future of outdoor sports rental and retail.
