Seasoned professional with a rich career spanning various roles including project management, director positions, and founder roles at startups. Deeply involved in research & development, pioneering intracranial Extended Reality Brain-Computer Interface (XR-BCI). Following experience as cofounder and Director of Clinical Research at Vistim Labs Inc, I founded Invirtualis Inc to continue to advance the fields of BCI and HAI. Noted in multiple publications and invited talks, I have pioneered work in VR-BCI and neurohaptics, and was a finalist for the 2022 International BCI Award. I earned my PhD in Bioengineering and Data Science from the University of Washington, BA in Neuroscience & Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, and BS in Applied Physics from the U.S Naval AcademyCourtnie is also passionate about mentorship and continues to guide emerging researchers in the neurotech and support local and international hackathons, and technology development residencies. Her vision is to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers who will contribute to the growing field of BCI.
