As an Ordained Clergy and a Licensed Graduate Social Worker, I bring a unique blend of spiritual and social work perspectives. My recent completion of a dual-degree program at Howard University, earning a Master of Divinity and a Master of Social Work, has equipped me with a strong foundation in direct practice with a concentration on mental health.In my current role as a Momentum Resident Clinician/School Social Worker at Howard University Middle School of Mathematics and Science, I actively apply my expertise in a wide range of therapy frameworks, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, behavior management strategies, family therapy and support, psychoeducation, and collaborative problem-solving. My goal is to provide comprehensive and effective support to the students and families I serve, addressing their unique needs with empathy and understanding.My primary passion is making a meaningful difference in the lives of the students and families in my care. This is more than an employment endeavor but a calling to which I am deeply dedicated. I am committed to utilizing my diverse skill set and extensive knowledge to foster positive outcomes and promote holistic well-being.
