Globally accountable for Novartis’s IT Security program. I am responsible for all program budget related management (Capex & Opex) in addition to in-house and external staff coaching, mentoring and supervision, both regionally and globally. Achievements include the restructuring and execution of our IT Security practice which, in part, consists of the development of an IT Security Organization & Operating Model; an end-to-end Patch & Vulnerability Management program; development & roll out of a new IT Security metrics framework with reporting platform; assessment & growth of our Industrial Control Security capability and IT Security baseline strategy. Additionally, I have successfully led the IT Security organization within the United States through a rigorous internal audit and have provided awareness and support to the US Pharma IT Leadership Team on core Security Risk Management initiatives and training which led to an increased role in a similar but farther reaching capacity on a global level.

I acted as the Ethics & Compliance Investigation’s lead which involved performing internal investigations in accordance with regulatory guidelines while providing leadership, guidance and support to the Investigations team. While in this role I constructed a custom data analytics framework that increased efficiency during the identification and remediation process of the compliance risks specific to the Pharmaceuticals industries oversite and regulations. I provided computer forensic support to our Business Practices Office and closely collaborated with, while providing expert consultation to our Legal, Human Resources and Employee Relations departments. I sat on the internal review board which decided the progression of cases alongside attorneys and reviewed hundreds of cases. I was responsible for the quarterly reporting of Investigations data to our functional business heads and senior leadership.

I managed the eDiscovery process as it relates to Legal matters for Novartis, working closely with both internal and outside counsel and associated discovery vendors. As a respected co-founder of the Legal Risk Assessment committee, I evaluated IT and business-related projects to determine both legal and privacy risk. I acted as the Deputy Head, Legal Data Services, where I provided leadership, guidance and support to other team members. I contributed to the evolution of novel eDiscovery processes which added proven enhancements to our team’s proficiencies and efficacy.
