In his 2009 TEDx Talk, How Great Leaders Inspire Action, Simon Sinek shares “people don’t buy what you do, they buy WHY you do it.” This inspired me to change my approach to nearly everything I do. I’ve put the message into action, sharing the philosophy with hundreds of people and by living out my PERSONAL WHY; TO CREATE AND SHARE EXPERIENCES THAT INSPIRE OTHERS TO LIVE LIFE PASSIONATELY.In my quest to inspire people into action, I’ve stumbled into many “learning opportunities”. They’ve been invaluable in shaping my BELIEFS as a business leader, a colleague, a husband, a dad, a friend and a person.I believe that to inspire people you must define and deliver how the desired outcome will make the stakeholder FEEL like regardless of what success will LOOK like.I believe THE DEVIL IS ALWAYS IN THE DETAIL. Never saying always. Never saying never. I hate the word hate.I believe that to get the best out of people, you must ensure they are ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS and that each feel HEARD and UNDERSTOOD.
